The Cytodelics Whole Blood Stimulation Buffer (WB-STIM) is a bespoke cell culture buffer designed for whole blood. Adding stimuli like cytokines or microbial components to blood is a common test of immune cell function. However, this has proven difficult under many circumstances, as the immune cells quickly consume all remaining nutrients in the blood sample, leading to cell death and poor sample quality. The Cytodelics WB-STIM is designed to replicate physiological conditions and maintain nutrient levels for long stimulation periods. The Cytodelics WB-STIM is compatible with the Cytodelics Whole Blood Cell Stabilizer and the Whole Blood Fix/Lyse Kit.
